6 months means real food!

Miss A hit the 6 month mark on Sunday. Happy half birthday my love! Now that she is 6 months we can start real solids! I wanted to wait to hopefully lessen any allergies. There is research out there that says waiting until 6 months can lessen the liklehood of allergies so it made sense to wait. We know she has the milk allergy and she reacts when I have nuts as well. Her nose has been stuffy for 9ish weeks now so I think she also has seasonal allergies. We don't need any more issues so it just made sense to wait.

She had avocado and didn't enjoy it all that much. She made lots of faces and gagged a few times but we were able to get a few bites in.

I found my feet....

Last week I mentioned that we lost all of the pictures on the memory card....bummer! There were quite a few pictures of Miss Aubrey sampling her toes - yes I believe she felt they were quite yummy! I will try and get some more to post because they are just too funny.

Today we were at Home Depot and one of the associates came up to us and started talking to Aubrey. He asked if she was 3 months old...she is tiny but not that tiny!

lost pictures

We've had company the past two weeks and we have gotten some really good pics. Today the memory card on the camera caught a virus and needed to be reformatted...good-bye pics. I am pretty bummed but lesson learned - transfer pictures right away rather than leaving them on the camera.

Colin, Nichole and Mckenzie have a ton of pics on their camera which I am sure they will share with us and I can post them then.

She's upright!!!

Aubrey has mastered sitting on her own! She is a little tipsy but is stable for the most part. Every time I tried to get a good picture she's start to fall so the above pic is the best one that I got. Look how chunky her arms are!

Last night Isaac came to visit and he and Aubrey were all about playing with each other. Isaac came crawling over to her and reaching out to touch her face. At one point Aubrey reached out to him and it looked like she was ready to give him a hug and a kiss....this girl is starting early!!!!

How we celebrated the big 5.0

On Sunday Aubrey turned 5 months old! Holy Moses time went fast! She has been eyeballing our food for a few weeks now. Last week I was picking at some chicken while feeding her and she grabbed my hand and started sucking on my fingers - luckily she didn't get the two that had chicken all over them. Also when we would sit at the table and bring our forks to her mouth she would open up wide waiting for something yummy - yes we teased her with it!
